Driving Directions
Venice Marco Polo Airport (VCE): Approximate driving time to Autohotel Venezia is 20 minutes and distance is 27 kilometres (17 miles). Getting there: The hotel is easily reached by car, and is just off the A4 highway. The number 15 bus also runs regularly from Marco Polo Airport to Mestre, from which point you can then take the train to Dolo, which is 1 kilometre from Autohotel Venezia. Getting around: Trains from Dolo station take approximately 15 minutes to reach Venice, and 10 minutes to reach the city of Padua. Venice itself is best explored on foot or by vaporetto (public water bus), and drivers must leave cars at Tronchetto or Piazzale Roma. Three day vaporetto passes offer unlimited travel and cost 25. Gondolas can be hired on the canals and water taxis traverse the city. Gondola ferries (traghetti) traverse the Grand Canal and cost 50 cents per trip. A car would be useful to discover more of the wider Veneto region. All prices subject to change. |
